Miscellaneous details
1) DO WE OFFER DISCOUNTS ON PURCHASE PRICES WITH MULTIPLE PURCHASES?
Any buyer who has purchased with us for $500 or more within 12 months, will qualify for a discount on any further purchases in those same 12 months only. Details on this discount can be provided on request.
2) WHAT IS OUR 100% GUARANTEE & RETURN POLICY?
We guarantee that our descriptions and photos show the condition, content and authenticity of our items. The condition details will indicate any missing portions, only if applicable. If any of the descriptions or photos did not reflect the real magazine, we will refund the paid purchase price and paid shipping/handling PLUS we will provide prepaid return shipping postage by slowest shipping method. Always keep the original packaging in order to use it for a return or for a damage claim. We also guarantee that all magazines are insured against loss or damage during transport, both in the USA and abroad. Please report any damage or loss during transport no later than 50 days after shipment In case of return issues, please contact us first for a return authorization. Unauthorized postage is not refunded. ATTENTION: We do not accept returns because of ‘change of mind’.
3) CAN YOU USE OUR TEXT OR IMAGES ON YOUR WEB SITE OR LISTINGS?
Not without our permission. In the future we will make our images and content summaries available on a (subscription) fee basis. Until then we will not allow any use of such materials. All these materials are copyright protected.
4) WHAT ARE OUR SHIPPNG METHODS IN THE USA?
In the USA our quoted standard shipping method is by DHL Ground, which travels 1 to 6 business days days, depending on distance and location reachability. Alternately we also offer 2nd Dair Air DHL, which takes 1 to 2 days to arrive, depending on distance and reachability. USPS Express is used for some deliveries requiring overnight arrival. An online tracking number is included and you will received the online link with this number after we have shipped.
5) CAN YOU CALL IN A CREDIT CARD?
Yes, if you have a Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover card. Call Monday – Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm (US Eastern Time Zone), to phone 1 (781) 329-8595.
7) CAN YOU ORDER PHOTOCOPIES OR SCANS OF ARTICLES, ILLUSTRATIONS, ADS, STORIES, ETC?
In the future we may offer this option, but not right now.
8) WHAT ARE OUR SHIPPING METHODS FOR SHIPMENTS OUTSIDE THE USA?
For international shipments our standard quoted shipping method is USPS (United States Postal Service) first class international airmal, which takes an estimated 1-6 weeks to arrive, depending on destination and Customs involvement. Faster methods, like USPS Priority International and Global Express or DHL are available on request.
9) WHEN DO WE SHIP YOUR PACKAGE
We ship guaranteed within 24 hours of receipt of a cleared payment (except for US holidays and weekend days, or during our announced yearly vacation period).
10) IF YOUR ITEM IS LOST, WHAT DO WE DO?
All our shipping emails mention the estimated travel time of a package. If an item has not arrived by the ultimate deadline, please inform us right away (do not wait, as there are limits to claiming with insurers). For international destinations, do not report any loss, until after 30 days of shipment (exception: for Italy, do not report non-arrival until 60 days after shipment) and no later than 80 days after shipment. We will then initiate a trace with DHL or USPS to try to recover your package. If shipped via USPS, we will also request you contact your own post office and/or local Customs agency, after we have provided you with any tracking or customs information we have. If the package is not found in 1-2 weeks, we will send you a loss report form to fill in, sign and return to us, by email or mail. Any insurance claims get paid out within a week of receipt of the claim form. Should the item still show up, after the claim has been paid out, the buyer will be required to return all paid out funds immediately upon request or return the purchase to us in the same condition and same type of protective packaging as it was sent.
11) HOW DO WE PACKAGE YOUR ITEM?
All our back issue magazines and newspapers are packaged in acid free archival quality plastic sleeves and placed in a new white Kraft mailer (with cardboard pad to stiffen) or a new flat DHL mail box (taped on each side). Books are wrapped in white paper and bubble wrap plastic, placed in a new USPS or DHL box and surrounded by styrofoam.
12) IS YOUR PACKAGE INSURED?
Yes, all purchases with us are always insured against loss or damage for the full purchase value plus shipping/handling cost.
13) DO WE OFFER DISCOUNTED SHIPPING/HANDLING WITH MULTIPLE PURCHASES
Yes, we provide considerable discounts on shipping and handling charges, in case you purchase multiple items and they travel together to the same address via the same shipping method. We can quote you the reduced cost on request, if you provide the titles of the items you want to purchase.
14) CAN YOU COME PICK UP YOUR ORDER AT OUR LOCATION?
Although we are a closed shop, so we have no store hours, we allow pick up by appointment only (requires 24 hours notice by calling us during office hours). There is a one time $4 fee due for this special service. The pick up location will be in Dedham (Massachusetts), at our office.
15) CAN YOU PAY BY ONLINE PAYMENT METTHOD?
Yes, we accept online payments through:

16) CAN YOU PAY BY PERSONAL OR BUSINESS CHECKS?

We do not accept checks from non-US residents. With any check we may wait up to 7-10 caleendar days, for it to clear, depending on a buyer’s reputation with us. If a buyer is a new customer without any traceable buying references, we may require a longer clearance period or a money order instead. Note: Please include your name and address and/or copy of invoice.
17) CAN YOU PAY WITH CASH?
If you mail US dollars in cash, we will accept them as payment, but we do not return any overpayments. Other currencies are not accepted. Of course, any mailing of cash is entirely at the sender’s risk of loss. For international maling of cash, we recommend sending it by registered mail.
18) CAN YOU PAY WITH AN (INTERNATIONAL) MONEY ORDER?
You may pay by (international) money order in US$ made out to: Leeflang Archives Corporation P.O. Box 920631 Needham, MA 02492-0007 USA All US domestic money orders are acceptable. Any international money order that is not a postal money order (with all fees paid by sender) in US$ will not be accepted, so we do not accept foreign bank issues money orders (due to fees we will incur). 19) CAN YOU PAY BY BANK TRANSFER?
If you open a Paypal.com account, they will usually allow you to use your bank account to fund purchases (for some countries this may not be possible, so inquire with them ahead of time). We do not accept direct bank wires.
20) HOW DO WE GRADE THE CONDITION OF BACK ISSUES OF MAGAZINES AND NEWSPAPERS?

21) DO WE BUY YOUR BACK ISSUES OF MAGAZINES OR PERIODICALS?
Yes, we buy large and small collections of back issue magazines and newspapers (either loose issues or bound volumes), even single magazines if they are extremely rare. Below are the requirements for such acquisitions:
a. From Whom?
Got an attic find or an auction or estate purchase? Liquidating a business? You may be the ideal seller for us, if you have a large batch or collection of antique magazines or newspapers for sale.
The periods of magazines, periodicals, their summaries and sales data that we seek to buy are mainly pre-1950 (later periods are possible for certain titles), and largely American and British issues, although we may occasionally also buy Canadian, German and French issues.
c. Authenticity/Originality
All the magazine and newspaper issues need to be originals. We do not purchase reissues nor reproductions. For more information how to recognize reissues or reproductions, look for that information in the FAQ.
d. Ownership
Sellers need to be the owners. We do not trade with third parties who do not offer the goods or summaries on offer. Alos, any summaries sold to us are required to be original creations by the seller. We do not purchase any summaries not originating from seller and we will require the seller to sign a declaration he is the original owner and creator.
e. Formats
The two types of formats of magazines and newspapers we accept are: 1. Loose issues 2. Bound volumes (covers and ads should be bound in) Offer content Only complete selling offers, including asking price, sent by email, will be considered. We will not reply to any incomplete offers.
f. Condition

g. Asking Price
The asking price needs to be quoted and payable in US $. Packaging and shipping charges need to be included in any offer, including delivery tracking number (which seller needs to provide us) and insurance to zip code 02492 in the USA.
h. Payment
Seller needs to accept payments for small batches by check (only if residing in USA) and for large batches via Paypal, Google or direct via major credit card. If goods sold are over $1000, we will only pay seller via a reliable Escrow service like for example Escrow.com, unless we have the opportunity to pick up the goods. In case of the latter, we will pay cash against proof of receipt. Upon receipt of the signed Bill of Sale or License agreement we will pay immediately by agreed payment method.
We will require safe packaging (in sturdy, unused boxes, with periodicals fully immobilized on all sides) of physical goods by seller. The package(s) need to be insured for full purchase value with delivery tracking number.
j. Delivery
Shipment of physical goods needs to ensue at the latest within 7 calendar days of receipt of our payment.
Depending on the value of the batch (only large batches) and how close a seller is located to our office or the location of one of our agents, we may choose to pick up the goods for sale by appointment at seller’s address. We’ll ask the seller to prepare the items for pick up and provide us with information on loading access.
k. Returns/Refunds
If goods, summaries or data are not substantially ‘as described’ in Bill of Sale or License agreement and shown in any images and samples provided by seller, we will pursue a full refund of both our purchase price and any paid shipping costs both ways, as well as any costs incurred by us to collect the refunds. All disputes will be settled at courts in the State of Delaware, our place of incorporation.
