Very nice vintage 1926 yearbook titled "Shadow" for Quincy High School located in Quincy, IL. Yearbook is broken down into several sections: * The School - photos and information of the faculty, senior class and underclass students * Athletics - appears that only three sports were offered back then, football, basketball and track. Photos and information along with team scores * School Life - listing of each club * Features - month by month of special events during the school year. * The Business Men's Section - this section consists of 20 pages of local business advertising. A selection of the business ads include Halbach-Schroeder Company, Quincy-Ricker National Bank & Trust Company, Heintz's Shoes, J.J. Flynn & COmpany, Tenk Hardware Company, Earhart Motor Company, The Sugar Bowl, and many more. This yearbook provides a wealth of information that can be used for genealogy research. But just as importantly, the book is also a great resource of history in 1926. The yearbooks is in very good to excellent condition considerting its age. The covers and internal pages are tight. Front & back covers shows some surface wear and scuffing. Some writing throughout the book especially at back of book were there are autographs of fellow friends and students.
