This is a fabulously interesting 1899 book called:  Departmental Ditties, Ballads, & Barrack-Room Ballads. The book is only in good condition, but for a 109 year old book, WHAT  A FIND!! It appears to be a First Edition. The cloth binding is wonderful, the corners are a bit worn. The binding is very tight and straight. All  pages are fully in tact. The gold leaf on the page edges, is still pretty much in tact, but pretty much worn off on the front of the book; with some dirt on the cover overall from 109 years of being around. You just have to look at the photos.  It is 6" tall x 3-7/8"wide and 254 pages. The book is very viable, and a great old historical piece of poetic literature, plus just great to look through!!   This book has an oilcloth cover. The corners are lightly worn, and the entire red cover is faded, with the spine being very faded. It is published by The Lovell Company, 23 Duane St, New York City.
