This is a fabulously interesting 1899 book called: THE ABBE CONSTANTIN. The book is only in good condition, but for a 109 year old book, WHAT  A FIND!!  The cloth binding is wonderful, the corners are a bit worn. One full section of the pages are loose, but there, and bound to each other. It looks like it is symptomatic of the binding, which other than that section, is very tight and straight. All other pages are fully in tact. The gold leaf on the cover is still pretty much in tact, with some dirt on the cover overall from 109 years of being around. You just have to look at the photos.  It is 6-1/4" tall x 4-3/8"wide and 210 pages. The book is very viable, and a great old historical novel, plus just great to look through!!   This book has an oilcloth cover. The corners are lightly worn. It is published by Henry Altemus, in Philadelphia, and written by Ludovic Halevy.
