A heavy, cast brass lion head door knocker, with a label on the back that says "Made In Holland". It measures 6 7/8 inches long from the top of the lion head to the bottom of the knocker. It measures 3 7/8 inches wide across the lion's mane. Included is the knocker knob and some newer attaching hardware. The door knocker is in very good condition, with a great patina and a massive Old World style. It weighs 2 1/2 pounds. A door knocker makes a great wedding gift. Very elegant item.
