This is a vintage 1960s Hask model it for a Republic P-47D Thunderbolt WWII aircraft. 1/4 scale, aero-customizing--build "razorback" or bubble canopy versions. Molded in 3 colors of plastic, Decals for US and RAF versions, long range drop tanks and 1,000 lb. bomb. Box has some wear. The ability of the Republic P-47D to fly long distances as escort to US Army Air Force B-17s and B-24s was instrumental in assuring success of the daylight bombing missions against Europe in WWII. Known for her stamina, the Thunderbolt was unrivaled in her ability to return after suffering extensive battle damage.
