I HAVE LEFT THESE CANISTERS EXACTLY AS I FOUND THEM-I FEEL THEY HAVE EARNED THE PATINA THAT THEY HAVE AND I DO NOT WANT TO DESTROY THAT LOOK-THEY HAVE SOME SCRATCHES-DIRT-SOME RUST-AND FADING-I DID FIND A COUPLE OF PAINT DRIPS, BUT I AM TOO AFRAID TO PEEL THEM OFF AND REMOVE SOME OF THE DESIGN-THERE REALLY IS NO MAJOR DAMAGE-JUST AGING
