Prickly Pear Cactus Pads Freshly Cut Hearty Easy to Grow This is a listing for 2-3 freshly cut Prickly Pear Cactus pads which will be taken from the mother plant on the day of shipment. Otherwise known as Opuntia Acicularis, this cactus is super easy to grow. Can be grown in areas of full or part sun and shade. Our Prickly Pear is on the east side of our home (See photo below which was taken on April 9, 2008). The plant to the left of the cactus is our banana plant. We are firm believers in having our yard work for us...we have peach, grapefruit, orange and fig trees, as well as blueberries, aloe vera plants and ferns. We live in northern Florida where we do have hard freezes in the winter, and in the summers the temperature can get up in the high 90's. Full planting instructions included.
