STEAM POWERED MODEL HYDROPLANE NAUTICAL MODELERS PLANS The model described in this plan is the result of an industrious designer in the early 1900's. His aim was to bring the model boat speed record to America from England. He accomplished this, with a very cool Hydroplane Model. The old English record was 26.7 MPH and this model made a considerable showing in excess of 30 MPH. A FAST model for the time! The hull of this record-breaking hydroplane is 39 inches and the beam is over 7 inches. This is a large model and will be a true thrill to run! It operates on a flash boiler and twin-cylinder high speed steam engine. The hull took many attempts to perfect, and it appears that it was. So cool, you just have to build one for yourself and share! Â Check Out Some Screen Grabs From This Document...

A 20 INCH RUBBERBAND BOAT NAUTICAL TOY MODELERS PLANS Here's a very cool model rubber-band powered motor boat plan from the early 1900's. You'll find plans to build a model lighthouse that you could wire and light on the shore, a bridge to sail your yacht under and of course, the sailing yacht (or other sailing vessel). BUILD AN 8 FT MODEL SUBMARINE - VINTAGE BUILDING PLANS Imagine being the captain of your very own personal submarine. You can be! And this is one heck of a sub too! The hull is nearly 8 feet in length and with the machinery and ballast installed, it weighs a good 175 pounds without the water ballast. AND... it's remote controlled. This isn't a modern-day project plan, it comes from the 1910 area of time. The original creators of the prototype and plans were sure that by following all their instructions and patterns, you'd be able to build and use this. We see no reason now why that still isn't true. What a gift for the nautical buff, and certainly would be a huge hit with a little kid! Check Out Some Screen Grabs From This Document...

This may be an old toy idea, but it'll hold alot of "water" with the kids today too! Here's a quote from the document! "The making of toy boats is one of the most, if not the most, popular hobbies. This self-propelling and submerging boat gives us a little variation from the regular line of boats, ship models, etc." Check Out Some Screen Grabs From This Document...
MODEL 4FT LONG LAKE FREIGHTER STEAM POWERED VESSEL PLAN The great freighter ships of the Great Lakes are legendary. The model that can be built with this 1900's plan is a replica of one of those ships. The overall length of the "big" shp was 260 feet. That's a bit big for the average modeler to make in his shop. So things were greatly reduced and the finished length of the model is 4 feet. Alot easier to build, eh? This steam powered model lake freighter plan will, most certainly, entertain and amuse the builder and the lucky ones that get to play with it. It would sure make someone smile during the gift giving season. Not to mention how cool it'll look on that shelf proudly displayed with all the other models you've built yourself.
