Up for your consideration is this unique, vintage WEDGWOOD candy/bonbon plate.  I am unsure of it's actual age but since it doesn't have a pattern style written or stamped on the bottom, my research has led me to believe that this plate could have been  made between 1840 and 1860, but also, as early as 1790 to 1801. {Standard name-mark used alone or incorporated in printed marks. Used alone - impressed. c.1860-1900.  Impressed mark also found on ware of the 1790-1801 period.} Quotations from "www.thepotteries.org/mark".  It is in very good condition,  with only two tiny chips on the underside of the lip of the plate.  There is minor crazing under the glaze that, I believe, validates the age and firing technique of the plate.  The over all condition is very good with no cracks or repairs.  It is a white on white pattern, with small lily like flowers draped just below the lip of the plate and tassles at six different points. The plate measures 10 1/4" X 8 1/4".  It's unusual shape and interesting design would make a great addition to anyone's WEDGWOOD collection.
