Welcome to my booth and allow me to introduce you to Tinker Bell (oh you say you recognize her? - of course you do - all of us always know her on sight! And who doesn't love that pouty face?) This model from Hagen-Renaker was produced from 1957 to 1960 only. Designed by Don Winton, this is one of three versions - the Flying Tinker Bell. Alas this Tink lost the wire in the bottom of her feet as so many did over the years (which is how they "flew" being placed into something and standing atop the wire) and so she has been given a custom made hand sculpted leaf to stand on. The leaf has indentions where her feet go and she is placed on it with shelf wax - she can easily be removed and the wax taken off her feet and the leaf both. To my knowledge there is only one other similar leaf and it was also created by the same person but cannot be exactly as this one since it was also individually created.

Her loss of wire was not the only accident to befall this sweet miniature figurine, but as you can see she is recovered now and is a lovely little Tink indeed! She stands a tiny 2 and 1/2 inches tall and has a nice glossy finish and the rouged cheeks of the older models. I'm sorry I don't think that shows in my pictures. She has mild crazing that I do not consider a flaw myself but I like to mention, it is however not detracting and takes a magnifying glass to see the little there is.

These older Disney models from HR are becoming harder to find as the years pass and so many suffer as this one did from the ravages of life with humans. Be advised this is a 'restored' Tinker Bell though you will hardly be able to tell I'm sure. She had broken wings, missing arm and broken neck as well - all of which have completely disappeared as you can see, Please view the larger size pictures by clicking the image then using your web browser's back button to return to the listing. Should you win this tiny Tink, I fully guarantee your satisfaction with her or she may be returned for full refund. I doubt that I shall ever see her again and believe she will delight you and enhance your collection for many years to come. The Charleton's Standard Catalog of Hagen-Renaker lists her value at $400.00.

THE FINE PRINT

I make every effort to examine what I sell and note anything worthy of mention, any flaw or imperfection. However, my eyes aren't perfect and if I have overlooked something, it wasn't intentional. Email me and let's talk about it. Also note, if you are offended by or allergic to dog hair, cat hair, horse hair, goat hair, bird feathers, cigarette or cigar smoke, food aromas, or naturally occurring irritants such as pollen etc. you might not want to buy any of my items. Not to say that all of these will be present, I just can't guarantee they won't. I buy and sell many things and to my knowledge, none of them have come from a "sterile" environment. I do however make sure I'm not sending you something covered in grime. Mine is a non-smoking household but I have three mutt dogs that help me do everything I do - including pack boxes. -;) If for some reason you are not happy with your purchase, drop me an email and we'll work things out so that we're both satisfied.
Thank you for looking at my items and for buying if you do. I appreciate you stopping by.
