Up for sale is a vintage Laughlin Household Institute Priscilla Covered Sugar Bowl. It is in the Republic shape. Made in 1949, it is in excellent shape. On the outer rim of the sugar bowl there is a small split in the pottery that is from the manufacturing process, it is not a chip or a hairline. Around the inside rim and on the bottom foot there is some discoloration - see photos. A couple of very minor surface marks that you have to look for. The inner part of the lid shows some minor discoloration. We cannot detect any crazing. No other noted cracks, chips or hairlines. The decals are all bright, shiny and intact. It measures about 5" in diameter and is about 6 1/4" across the handles. Without the lid it is 2 7/8" tall and with the lid it is about 3 7/8". Holds 1 cup. The bottom is double stamped. In gold, the ink stamp reads Household Institute Priscilla Pattern. In Green ink, it reads HLC, Homer Laughlin, Made in U.S.A., J 49 N 8. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
