Antique mattal tin toy, incomplete and music does not work. The pieces that are here, are actually in very nice condition. Clown is slightly soiled, but not broken. The top that connects to the base needs to be inserted. Someone took this apart to determine if the rubber music wind worked. This we believe was a toy from 1951. The original music was arranged by Ted Duncan, Decor by Louis Song. On the base below the clown, reads He floats through the air with the gretest of east and has clowns all over the base. This piece is in nice condition without any dings or folds in the tin. The base is the same. On the front bottom it reads A Mattel Music Maker Toy. Patent # 2,504,666, others pending. It appears it had a canopy of some sort.
For someone that would want to restore one they have this is an excellent one from which to salvage parts. Base measures 6 x 8". Stands approximately 11". We do not consider this a children's toy, but rather of collectible value. There could be lead base in the paints, we do not know. There are sharp edges. This is being offered as a collectible item. We are offering this at this price, which includes shipping. We do not ship outside the U.S.
