This gorgeous vase was found at a sale in a retirement community in the west. The red Noritake backstamp on the vase bottom dates the piece to between 1920 and 1940. It was hand painted by a fine Asian artist hired by the well-known longstanding Morimura Bros Noritake Porcelain Company. It is entirely hand painted, no decals or transfers were used. The band of florals is brought to life on the white porcelain background. The background above and below the florals is black adding more rich elegance and drama. Circling the neck of the vase is a gold band with green and blue/green leaves. The delicate gilding has a total of three bands of delicate beading. The floral colors are rose, pink, blue, yellow, blue/green, royal blue, various greens, rust, and orange. Scroll down the page for more photos of this stunning vase.
