Bing & Grondahl (B & G) Mother's Day Collectible Plate 1970, Second in the Series featuring Mother Bird with her Babies. A fine porcelain collectible wall plate hand decorated at the Bing & Grondahl Porcelain Manufactory in Copenhagen, Denmark. The initials of the artist and the B & G seal on the backstamp are your assurance that this Christmas plate is authentic and original. The bas-relief and blue underglaze technique has brought fame and popularity to B & G. The first plate was issued in 1895. B & G has earned appointments to the Royal Courts of Denmark, Sweden and Great Britain. The name is well-known for fine porcelain and distinctive design.
