Cotton Combs
Cotton combs were invented to seperate cotton fiber from seeds and all other debris. This pair of cotton combs measures 9 1/2" tall and 10 3/4" wide. They are in good condition. Some of the teeth are worn off of one of the panels. They are made of oak. One comb has been stamped on top, Old Whittemore Patern, Improved Set No. A 10, Cotton, L.S. Watson & Co. Leicester, Mass. The other comb has the same stamp but an X instead of an A.
The cotton combs are a great primitive piece to add to your collection.
