I crocheted this filet crochet table topper in a smoke-free home. I used a very pretty shade of mauve cotton thread.

The design is original. I made a sampler using filet crochet stitches and edged it with lacy rows of white and more mauve. Although filet crochet is a very old-fashioned crochet technique, this piece looks very bold and modern.

This table topper measures 10.25 inches wide and 16.25 inches long.
