WHY ARE WE IN VIETNAM?

I am offering the May, 1968 first Berkley paperback edition of Norman Mailer's classic hunting tale set in Alaska.

He explores the cultural reasons for the Vietnam War as his hero describes a hunting party that was going after bear. This book was published by the Berkley Medallion imprint of Putnam. The number N1557 appears at the top of the spine.
This paperback copy from yesteryear looks great.

The cover is intact with no tears and very minimal chips and rubbing. However, there is staining near the spine, but I see no damage at all to the inside of the book. The block is tight and readable. The pages are clean and crisp, with no marks of prior ownership.

I ship books with USPS Media Mail. I give buyer-friendly shipping discounts on multiple purchases. So make an offer if you want more than one item!
