Very nice vintage advertising cookbook from the Rumford Chemical Works Company of Providence, Rhode Island. Titled "Rumford Common Sense Cook Book" compiled by Lily Haxworth Wallace. Published by the Department of Home Economics of the Rumford Company. There is no copyright date. In back of book is an ad for the Rumford Complete Cook Book which was published in 1918. So this recipe booklet was published circa early to mid 1920's.
This cookbook is loaded with recipes, all of which use Rumford Baking Powder as an ingredient and over 100 recipes listed. Soft-bound cover containing 64 pages. Measures 4.75" by 7.25". Booklet is in very good to excellent condition considering its age. Cover and internal pages still secure to binding. Some staining on front cover. Pages have some toning along page edges. Some page edge bends. Hole at top left where a string or rope could be attached. Add this wonderful vintage cookbook to your collection. (inv:cb177)
