I'm a mostly self-taught Oregon artist and have been painting most of my life. I try to share a little slice of my life with you in each painting. I live in the country and thats a real blessing for me, as I love my cats and have many of them to paint and share with you! My painting takes me to another world where everything is beautiful. I hope it takes you there too. I have many collectors of my artwork, world-wide and have won many awards and competitions, nationwide.I'm active in my local art association, and sell my artwork in several gallery's and nationwide shows. My cats are my inspiration and sometimes I take photos of them for reference. All my paintings are drawn by hand,and then I do a value establishing under painting, then into color. My paintings are not duplicates of my reference. What I view and my reference are just my first inspiration and step. I brush mix every stroke so that the pigments in the paint are not crushed and this keeps the color's fresh and alive, and also allows a variation of colors that makes the painting more interesting.I pour my heart into my paintings and I hope that my love will show through.
